Upon downloading and reading the instructions from the WM6 skin from Juni’s Skins, I realized that Juni explained how to modify the Start Menu to have a background. Having always been up to the task of making my Dash look extra different, I decided to try it. Upon attempting to use his original background image, it looked blurry and stretched out. The image dimensions were perfect though. I decided to make my own image and try it. When I did this, the image came out perfectly to the correct dimensions. I think that the Start Menu needs a JPEG image over a BITMAP image. My modified background was a JPEG and came out perfectly. So, the images provided below are all JPEGs. If I make any more, I will post them below.
Someone else other than Juni may have come up with the actual way to do this but being that I saw it from Juni first and he doesn’t reference anyone, I will assume he found out how to do it. The instructions in the text file below are from Juni’s WM6 skin ZIP file.
DO A BACKUP FIRST!!! YOU CANNOT REMOVE THESE SETTINGS TO UNDO THE BACKGROUND!! YOU WILL NEED TO HARD RESET AND RESTORE!!!
SELECT A BACKGROUND IMAGE FIRST BELOW AND REPLACE {Image} IN THE INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE INDICATED FILE NAME NEXT TO THE IMAGE IN BOLD.

hey jamerican you did some great work with your menu backgrounds. i really like them, i myself have a tmobile dash. i was wondering if you could show me how to do the clock on top thing please ?????
wouldnt it be easyer to
1. go in to wm5/6 and pull a defult pic from the windows file..
2. drag it into your desk top and open it in MS. Paint..
3 (thires your demetions) make a frame line around the boder and delet the rest of the image..
4. copy that border and cut and past it over a pic you like and crop it till the border is gone..
5. TAAA DAAAA!!

this way you can make [u]ANY[/u] wall paper you like. and thay fit perfect.. all you have to do is adjust the transperacy when you aplay it..
i need help ! with my dash
having problem installing start menu. followed ins. all is in reg. is there a way that you can make me a reg file or cab for univ. of michigan for me. thanks.
